WITCHDOCTOR PRODUCTIONS SETS SIGHTS HIGH FOR RENEWED SOUTH AFRICAN METAL MAYHEM

Formed in 1999, Witchdoctor Productions has a rich legacy of bringing some of the heaviest acts to the African Continent.

Momentum however seemingly slowed down of late, but all for a good reason says Shaughn Pieterse (Founder & President), as the Witchdoctor Productions team has been hard at work behind the scenes regrouping, planning and preparing to unleash a brutal new wave of Metal onto South African audiences.

In recent months Witchdoctor Productions announced tours to RSA inclusive of Kataklysm, Sepultura and the mighty Behemoth. T

hen there is also the return of Witchfest in April 2015 that will see local legends V.O.D and Groinchurn reunite to tear up stages with Belphegor, Alestorm, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Septicflesh and more …

“We are working to build something truly unique. Even better we are collaborating with venues like The Doors, who have the same vision to rebuild our SA Metal Scene to be better than ever before” says Pieterse.

“We want to improve and hugely expand The Doors and turn it into the true home of SA Metal.

We are planning new and bigger stages, better lighting and sound, outdoor areas, and proper back stages with excellent security … pretty much a venue befitting the international standards and quality of Extreme Metal about to be unleashed with Witchdoctor Productions” says Duncan Allers from The Doors Nightclub.

Alec Surridge (Technical Director) stresses that, “It is absolutely key the SA Metal Community supports the Witchdoctor Productions Mission and attend events and provide us constant feedback, as this will ensure the best overall results for our Metal Community as a whole.”

The Witchdoctor Productions Team will all be present in person at shows, excited to meet fans and bands and look forward to breathing new life into our South African Metal Community.
