SA Music News Magazine is a South African based online music magazine founded in August 2007 to support and promote our local upcoming bands and musicians all over South Africa and provide them with a platform through which they could share their music to their South African fans, as well as internationally.
In the past 9 years, we have had the privilege to have worked with, photographed, interviewed and done articles, reviews etc. with some of South Africa's best local bands and musicians, as well as some well-known international names and artists.

5FM BRINGS THE BEST IN LOCAL MUSIC TO THE YOUTH
In an ongoing effort to bring youthful South Africans together through the power of music, this Youth Month 5FM announces the station’s first 18 years and under youth music festival. On 18 June, in honour of Youth Month, the station will host the first annual Live Loud Youth Fest specifically aimed at a younger audience. The event, at Innesfree Park in Sandton, Johannesburg and from 13:00 – 21:00, is aimed specifically at teenagers aged 13 – 18 – there are no over 18's allowed.
5FM Station Manager, Justine Cullinan, says, “Young people often miss out on big festivals and concerts because of alcohol restrictions. As a responsible youthful brand we fully support that but we feel it’s time for young people to be able to enjoy the big 5FM Live Loud stage, featuring their favourite bands and DJs, in a safe, alcohol-free environment.”
The festival will showcase the hottest local music acts all featured on 5FM’s Top 40 chart and regular playlist as well as several 5FM DJs, promising an unforgettable experience. The artist line-up includes Timo ODV, Chunda Munki, 5FM Ultimix DJs Pascal & Pearce and Ryan the DJ and 5FM DJs Euphonik, Roger Goode, Milkshake, Ms Cosmo, Nicole da Silva, Vic Naidoo and Stephanie B.
5FM are geared to putting on a safe and enjoyable event and promise strict security measures where underage listeners are concerned. Parents will be able to rest assured of their safety as the station will be taking measures to avoid underage drinking and drug abuse. There will be food stalls available on the day with non-alcoholic beverages on offer, a bag locker facility, a secure parking as well as drop off area. Event promoter Revel Ravenhill from NuWave says that security and entertainment are the top two priorities at the event.Tickets are on sale on Computicket for R195.
